Kovaceski has been cooking for a long time. Trip Advisor named his restaurant "Crust" the best in Miami for four consecutive years (2015-2018)
The anthological single "Premin" from the album "Before the Rain" by the group "Anastasia" was recently re-released. The idea came from guitarist Klime Kovaceski, one of the first members of the band. How did this "rebirth" of "Premin" happen, memories about the group "Anastasia", but also his great success in the world of cuisine, given that Kovaceski, together with his wife Anita own one of the most respected restaurants in Miami, "Crust".
He says he started redesigning his old website in 2005 and decided to add a page called "My Guitar". He hesitated until which year to return.
- Considering that I am the owner of padotnavizantija.com, I decided to go back only to 1989. And I was amazed when I realized that my closest friends forgot about those three months in the summer of 1989, when we recorded the first versions of the songs, which later became the most recognizable sound product of the group "Anastasia", almost every day in an exceptional series of music sessions. In addition to the creative share, my investment in the sound equipment I brought in was about $ 30,000 at the time. When I told this information to my friend Slave Keleshovski a few months ago, his reaction was: "At that time, a small apartment cost so much, and it was beautiful" - says Kovaceski.

He announces that he plans to re-release six or seven songs, digitize them and improve their sound quality.
- I will probably adjust them in production, add and play guitar parts. However, I was and still am just a rock and roll guitarist and it is important for me that people know the story of "Premin" and the other songs. I'm like a hot pepper, if the song is tasteless, put a little of me and the listeners will immediately change their impression - Kovaceski laughs.
When asked what emotions they instill in him when he listens to the music he once created together with Goran Trajkoski and Zoran Spasovski.
- The idea led by the group "The Fall of Byzantium" was the disintegration of an old system, the end of Yugoslavia. We spent that summer in endless conversations, in the house of Father Stefan Sandzakoski, and as a product the idea for the group "Anastasia" was the birth, the resurrection of Macedonia. Try not to understand this concept only politically, or at least politically, and you will understand what was on my mind at the time. "I can not say whether the other members had the same thoughts," he said.
Kovaceski reminds about the cooperation with Goran Trajkoski. He says that in all the groups where they played together, they made the music and the lyrics together.
- In the summer of 1989 we did not have the opportunity to do everything together in the past, but Goran would play the songs or ideas for songs on acoustic guitar, and Zoki and I added our own parts, our own arrangements. As for "Premin" in particular, the most recognizable part of the song, the instrumental theme that is repeated between the songs, that part is entirely mine and I think that no one would recognize the song if it was played without that part. One of my favorite Macedonian folk songs is: "Come on, do you know, do you remember Milice" and that song has such an ingenious and recognizable instrumental part. "I have dreamed of doing such a thing since I was a child - a recognizable pillar of a song," he says.
For a long time, cooking has been a passion for Kovaceski. Trip Advisor named his restaurant "Crust" the best in Miami for four consecutive years (2015-2018). Where does the love for Italian cuisine come from?
Klime and his wife Anita own the Italian restaurant Crust in Miami
- I finished high school in Ohrid, and high school in Opatija 1979/1981. We all know that that part of Croatia has great culinary similarities with Italy. During my stay in Opatija, I went to Trieste almost every week and fell in love with Italian food. "It was paradoxical that I studied French food, because it was the basis of catering at the time," he said.
Miami is a place on the jet set, so celebrities often eat in "Crust".
- Many celebrities have visited "Crust". It would be immodest to speak. Most recently, if I remember correctly, was the singer Shade. Anita talked to her while she waited for us to prepare food for her to take home.
Asked whether the pandemic had a bad effect on their work, given that the catering industry suffered particularly, Kovaceski said:
- "Crust" was made from the very beginning, as a concept, for taking and carrying food, so we were ready during the quarantine to fully concentrate the work with carrying. Crust now works better than ever.
